Martoni Fox multilayer PVC pipes are produced using a co-extrusion process, simultaneously employing two or three extruders and a special feed block that enables the creation of a perfectly bonded three-layer pipe in a single production cycle.

The inner and outer walls consist of special PVC-U compounds with high resistance to abrasion (tested up to 100,000 cycles), chemicals (from pH 2 to pH 12), and temperatures up to 40°C. The central layer is made of virgin and/or recycled microcellular closed-cell expanded PVC-U, which forms the neutral core of the pipe. The recycled PVC used in the inner layer of Martoni Fox SN4, SN8, and SN16 triple-layer pipes, sourced from certified external suppliers, is increasingly part of Martoni’s production program in support of the circular economy.

Producing pipes with recycled PVC involves complex and costly processes, but the efficiency and technology of the plants used allow for CO2 emission savings, significantly contributing to reducing environmental impact. These pipes are of the highest quality, certified by leading European control institutes, and have a lifespan exceeding 100 years. Several studies have shown that PVC pipes can be recycled and reused at least seven times while maintaining optimal performance for manufacturing new products.

The use of recycled PVC in triple-layer pipe production is regulated by the European standard EN 13476-2 for non-pressure applications and guarantees the same performance as pipes made solely with virgin PVC.
